I didn’t want to be a fashion designer, and for a good half of my career I didn’t like it. I always wanted to do other things. I adore the challenge of creating truly modern clothes, where a woman’s personality and sense of self are revealed. I want people to see the dress, but focus on the woman. I believe that my clothes can give people a better image of themselves – that it can increase their feelings of confidence and happiness. Confidence. If you have it, you can make anything look good. Fashion should be fun. It shouldn’t be labelled intellectual.
